Main Activities: 1. Dictionary Project: We provide dictionaries to 3rd graders at three local schools. 2. Escondido Public Library Project: We read to children and assist with the Book Mobile. Our Make a Difference Day includes a day at a local park to read to children and have cookies and drinks with them and assist them to make bookmarks. 3. Library in Appalachia: We collect cards and books to send to a small library in Briceville, Tennessee. 4. Operation Home Front-San Diego: Our members collect food, toiletries, etc which go to our service personell serving overseas. We also adopt a platoon of soldiers at the holidays and send packages to them. 5. Project Linus: Providing homemade blankets for distribution to children in crisis. 6. Scholarships: For women returning to the workforce or others needing assistance for college. 7. Senior Citizen Project: Varies from year to year. 8. Tutors: Four of our members assist in area elementary schools.
